What is Bike Muster?

Bike Muster is a non-competitive weekend of cycling activities in and around the Central NSW town of Mudgee. Held on the grounds of the Australian Rural Education Centre approx. 2km north of the town there is on-site camping, catering and entertainment.

The site is safe for kids with plenty of opportunity to ride around the site without having to venture out onto any roads with traffic.

There will be a range of activities for kids besides cycling including kite flying, face painting and treasure hunts.

What’s the weather like at that time of year?

The weather in Mudgee at Easter usually has cool nights (10 - 15 deg) and warm days (20 - 25 deg) - obviously this may vary but is pretty much the average.

Do I need to bring my own cutlery & crockery?

You will need your own cutlery, crockery etc if you are self catering for evening meals, otherwise you don’t need these items as they are supplied.

Do I need to bring my own tent?

Yes! There are no tents or cabins available on site so you need to bring your own tent (or swag!) to sleep in.

Can I bring a Caravan or Campervan?

Yes! There is plenty of powered sites to pull up a caravan or campervan, there is access to drinking water on-site and grey water disposal but not black water disposal, all site fees are included in your Bike Muster registration fee.

Are powered sites available?

Yes, all sites have access to power, this is included in your registration fee.

Can we have campfires?

Yes! Sitting around a campfire after a great days cycling is one of the worlds best things to do, that’s why at Bike Muster we have a dedicated campfire near the main pavilion. You’ll need to supply your own firewood. Unfortunately we cannot allow campfires in the actual camping area.

What sort of bike should I bring?

There are plenty of rides to suit whatever type of bike you have, we will be providing details of all the local rides which will also detail if there is tar, dirt/gravel road and the level of difficulty.
